Turn Your Phone into A Sweet Treat! (:B

Ok so on a completely unrelated order-of-business, I made a new smiley! Its a bunny or other larged-eared creature: (:B Isn't it cute?!?

Now for the real stuff: Japanese Phone Icing. (atleast thats what I like to call it)

That's right. Using the "decoden" phone decorating technique, you can put a 3d collage on your phone!

Basically what you do is go to a site,  (good sites in a minute) and buy a kit or separate parts, a glue sheet, and anything else you want. They are little pieces such as flowers, pearls, or sweets that are 3d but have a solid bottom for easy application. So decoden can be compared to bedazzling, only cuter, more sophisticated, and not as cliche (who else but the japanese would have cakes attached to the front of their phones??)
They even have a whipped-cream alphabet!

Incase anyone was wondering, I want the bakery one- YUM!  : P

And another great part is that if you go to this one site, they give you this sticky sheet that you put one side on your phone, and stick the parts to the other side- no mess!
The best site to buy stuff is:

AWWWW I WANT EM SOOO BAD!

I Love You, Aisha

If anyone has recently purchased a new PC with Windows Vista, they have most likely heard of Aisha Duo.
At least, thats how I found out about them. There are two free songs by them included in your Windows media player library.

Who: Aisha Duo- two Italian musicians. They play the vibraphone and marimba
What: My personal favorite album is "Quiet Songs," and I believe thats the only album they have on itunes. They are classified as jazz musicians, but they are really miracle workers. Their amazing work is super calming and beautiful- you'll regret it if you dont check them out.

Here is a list of my three favorite songs, (two of them happen to be free on vista computers!) and when to listen:

Amanda: In the morning. Relaxing yet energizing.
Despertar: During homework. Somehow the violin combined with whatever else is going on makes me concentrate.
Tale: While trying to get to sleep. In all seriousness, I actually got what's called sleep paralyzation from listening to this song. That means you basically freeze up and have no choice but to go to sleep until you can move again. Scary, but cool!

For anyone who is bored of my strange music obsessions (Idina Menzel, Regina Spektor, Eric Dolphy, and many more) here is something new to check out: Gela Skins

A ton of great artists designs high quality skins for them, and they are all really unique and creative! They will probably have something to dress up all of your favorite electronics- except phones. Kathie Olivas (I swear she changes the spelling of her name every month) even has skins there!

In case you didnt know, Kathie is my absolute favorite artist of all time, (sorry becca) I am even going to be one of her Misery Children for Halloween!
Hope my newest obsessions didnt bore you too much. (speaking of obsessions, be sure to check out the Nokia Surge, my latest phone of choice)

Easy Curls! (kinda)

I was recalling a few days ago that on hot summer nights when I was about five, my mom would put my hair up in a bun on top of my head to keep me cool. This would make my hair really curly and pretty.
So while I was in the shower today, I decided that I might try it out again, now that I like wearing my hair curly and not all brushed out and yucky.

Now, I will tell you exactly what I did!

1. Get in the shower
2. Start by combing through your hair using your fingers, and get ALL of the dead hairs out.
3. Shampoo as usual
4. Time to condition- you usual conditioner will work fine, but use a little extra.
5. DONT rinse it out yet- was your body + face first. After you're all soaped up, just stand there for a couple more minutes.
6. Ok, now you can rinse.
7. Once again, comb your fingers through your hair. Just double check to make sure you dont have any more dead hairs. This is so your curls will be a bit less frizzy, if you have static-y hair like mine.
8. Feel free to get out of the shower once you are done. Wrap up your hair in a hair towel, if you have one. If not, just air dry for a little longer.
9. Just keep air drying until your hair is about 1/2 of the way dry. BRUSH IT!
10. After it's brushed, bend over. Grab your brush and a bottle of scrunching spray and stay down there.
11. Brush the bottom layer of your hair while you are flipped over.
12. Put plenty of scrunching spray into all parts of your hair. Dont leave out the middle layers or sides.
13. Go ahead and scrunch a little- but not too much. What really matters is that the spray is just in there.
14. Almost done! Now stay bent over, and put your hair in a bun at the very top of your head. Use a scrunchy, not a regular rubber band. Something like this is ideal:

15. Just leave it until dry, maybe sleep in it if you have to be somewhere!

Hope this works for you!

PS: This wont give you perfect ringlets or anything, just pretty waves.

I Want to Explore!

Have you ever had that feeling- the feeling that something just isn't right?
Like when no matter what you do, even things you usually love, just dont cut it anymore?
No? Well I have.
And I must say, it's definately one of the worst feelings ever. Like my chest just has an empty, beating heart, where their should be an endless stream of imagination and creation.
In fact, I am getting one of those feelings right now. And for those of you who do get that feeling, I am going to let you in on the secret of how to get rid of it.
How? Well, first I will tell you how I fix these emotions, then tell you how you can too!

I first started feeling like this at the end of Nutcracker last year. I though it was depression, but after looking it up on yahooanswers, depression is actually a bit different.
Then, when winter break from dance was over and I was back in classes, the feeling went away.
The second time I felt it was when my first summer intensive (dance camp) was over. But when summer vacation was over, it went away. You may be noticing a theme here- whenever I'm not dancing, I get the feeling.
Not exactly.
I have these cousins who live in Illinois. They used to live in Chicago, and whenever we went to visit them, we would stay in the Hyatt downtown. Now, they live in a "nice" little suburb called Naperville, and when we go to visit them, we stay in there house and often don't even see the city at all.
Scratch that- the kids don't see the city- my parents, aunt and uncle go off to a fancy dinner and jazz (my favorite music genre) concert while leaving me at home to babysit three little kids. Every time.

So what I've discovered is that everyone has a little problem. It's a glitch, well I guess more of a trait, that every single human will experience at one time or another. I haven't really gotten down to the science of it yet, but what I do know is this: we all have something that we love. We love it so dearly that it is unobtainable.
For me, it's dance and the city. Dance is easy, but not living in the city, I get that feeling alot.

For some of you, the love will be easy to controll: video games, polyvore, reading, etc. For others, it could be harder, like my city: a deceased relative, a celebrity, or a seasonal sport.

Those of you with the easy "obsessions" will just need to do them whenever you get a feeling. But for the ones with difficult loves, do them as much as possible. Since this probably wont be that often, figure out something that reminds you of your love. For example, jazz (I dont know why) makes me feel like I'm actually not a victim of my parents stupid choice to live in Corntown.

I hope this helped you with those annoying feelings, and if you figure out what your obsession is, comment- I wanna know!

Love Her or Hate Her?

Doe Deere.
She's strange, what can I say?
But at the same time, we must all admit that she has, at one time or another, been a prominent role model in our lives.
Lately, things she's been doing have been a little too weird and easy to make fun of: the no-bra issue, the terrible, short, awkward videos, and the I-look-terrible-without-makeup realizations, but how can we just turn out backs so quickly on someone who we used to admire so greatly?

I'll tell you why.
Because Doe Deere is an abnormal weirdo that assumes everyone loves her.
Doe, I could easily get over some odd things about you and focus on all the great things if you weren't so egocentric.
Every time I read a post, I see "Deerlings..." or "A fabulous present touched by my amazing skin!"
Not everyone is obsessed with you, Doe, and you need to understand that just because someone reads your blog doesn't mean that they worship you.
I read your to view your fun outfits, or take a look on the newest part of Candyfuture archtitecture.
Not you read about how much you think we care that you are getting a new car or whats inside of your purse.
I think that pretty much sums up all of my feelings on the matter for right now.

So, comment with a Phantasmagorical new subject of interest! (its a real word- look it up)

Ps: "Musings of the Unicorn Queen?" Really? Ruben is more of a unicorn queen than she is.

ok. that is all :)
